Where to find the Stan Lee tribute in Guardians of the Galaxy

Gone but never forgotten.

Stan Lee may have left us, but his legacy will never be forgotten, and in the newest Marvel video game, Guardians of the Galaxy, there is a touching tribute to the father of the infamous comic universe.

It's not an integral part of the story and as such it's easy to miss if you don't know where to look. Ahead will be some mild spoilers, but nothing connected to the main storyline, but needless to say, avoid the rest of this post until you reach Chapter 6 if you want to avoid everything.

Where to find the Stan Lee tribute

You'll find what you seek in Chapter 6 when you first get to Knowhere. As you wander the marketplace there are two key areas. The Stan Lee tribute can be found in the Collector's Emporium, a museum that costs 5,000 units to enter. There are a bunch of neat objects in here from across the Marvel universe, but 5,000 units is a pretty steep price to pay.

There is a way to get in for free, though. Before the Emporium, you'll come across Mantlo's Bar where Groot and Rocket are having a drink and, well, being Groot and Rocket.

Going in will trigger a side-event between Star-Lord and Lipless, who claims to be a friend that Quill just can't remember. If you hit the right dialog options throughout the exchange, Lipless will be pleased and will give you a ticket to enter the Emporium.

The Emporium is after the bar anyway, so it makes sense to go in and earn the free ticket. Especially since those units might come in handy for something else.

Once inside the Emporium, follow it around and before you reach the exit you'll come across a pair of "Cosmic Glasses". Hit the button to read the message.

I'll leave you to read the message for yourself. But it's a touching tribute to the great man in a way that fits into the Guardians universe perfectly. Excelsior.
