Halo Infinite: How to get XP fast and rank up the Battle Pass

Here's how you can quickly get access to everything Halo Infinite seasons have to offer.

Halo Infinite's multiplayer is finally here in the form of the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta, and as players take to its futuristic sci-fi arenas to blast each other to pieces and earn XP, many are no doubt wondering what the best ways to rank up the Halo Infinite Battle Pass are (especially since progress carries over to the full game). After all, since getting enough XP to rank up the Battle Pass is the primary way you earn new cosmetics in Halo Infinite, leveling up efficiently is important.

If you're one of these people, don't worry — we're here to help with a detailed guide on how you can get XP fast and rank up your Battle Pass in Halo Infinite. Follow these strategies, and you'll be climbing to rank 100 in no time.

Grind weekly challenges

The best way to earn XP fast in Halo Infinite is to grind the game's weekly challenges, which give you large chunks of XP when you finish them. These challenges typically require you to get kills with specific weapons or vehicles, play specific game modes, or play the objective in objective-based game modes. As you complete challenges throughout each week, these weekly challenges will become harder to complete. However, the trade-off is that they're also more rewarding and will give you huge amounts of XP if you can finish them.

Eventually, you'll run out of weekly challenges and will be given an Ultimate Challenge to do. Finishing this challenge rewards you with even more XP and a unique cosmetic item that's independent of the Battle Pass. Following this, you'll have to wait for Halo Infinite's weekly reset before you can get more weekly challenges.

Daily challenges that are less difficult and generally only require you to finish a certain number of games give solid XP, too, but it's better to focus on grinding weekly ones because they award much more XP overall.

Use XP Boosts

While you're grinding weekly challenges, it's also hugely beneficial to use the XP Boost consumables that you can get from the Battle Pass or the Boost and Swap Pack Bundles in Halo Infinite's Store (they cost 200 Credits, which is two dollars' worth). These consumables double your XP gains for thirty minutes, meaning that if you use one before completing a handful of weekly challenges, you'll get a massive amount of XP — especially if the weekly challenges are the difficult ones that award a significant amount of XP on their own.

While using XP Boosts to improve the XP gains from daily challenges is decently effective, we recommend saving them for weekly challenges so you can make the most of them. You can only get so many XP Boosts from the Battle Pass before you run out, so use them wisely (unless you're planning on buying them with real money).

Buy levels with Credits

A third option available to people who don't mind using real money is simply buying Battle Pass levels. Each level costs 200 Credits, which is $2 in real money. Note that you can only buy Halo Infinite Credits in increments of 500, meaning that you can't just buy enough Credits for one level. This can get pretty expensive very quickly, especially since there are 100 levels in each Battle Pass. Because of this, we don't recommend leveling up this way.

The Halo Infinite multiplayer beta is available now for free on Xbox and PC, and it has the potential to be one of the best Xbox shooters ever made. If you want to give it a shot, check out our guide on how to download and play Halo Infinite on Xbox and PC.
