Intel's octa-core i9-11900K CPU is as cheap as we've seen at $490

Intel recently updated its lineup of desktop chips with the 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs, and the reception has been quite positive. However, due to how new they are, you're looking at a higher cost, which has people still looking for the older 11th Gen chips. The Core i9-11900K, in particular, is still a powerhouse CPU with eight cores and a clock speed up to 5.3GHz, making it perfect for specialized tasks or a high-end gaming experience.

The 11th Gen chips also don't require the new LGA 1700 socket that 12th Gen options use, meaning if you already have a fairly modern Intel build, you won't have to shell out for a new motherboard. The Core i9-11900K is currently down to the lowest price we've seen at $490, which is $122 off the regular price at Amazon. It's one of the best Cyber Monday deals on PC parts out there right now.

Intel Core i9-11900K | $120 off

Intel's Core i9-11900K brings eight cores and sixteen threads for awesome single- and multi-core performance. It can hit up to a 5.3GHz clock speed when boosting, it runs at a 125W TDP, and it's unlocked for overclocking. So if you'd like to upgrade to a modern Intel build and don't want to shell out for a whole new motherboard, this is still a great option even though 12th Gen Intel chips are available.

$490 at Amazon

$500 at Newegg

In our Intel Core i9-11900K review, we mentioned that the CPU didn't really make any huge advancements compared to its predecessor. For many people, that's OK, especially if you're working with a lower-range CPU that's a few generations old. However, we did note that the Core i9-11900K delivers insane gaming performance, translating to specialized work like design and development.

It picked up PCIe 4.0 support for faster peripherals, but it still uses the LGA 1200 socket for better backward compatibility. So if you'd like to upgrade your system that's currently using a motherboard with LGA 1200 socket, you won't have to do a complete rebuild. That's a bonus over the new 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs that use a new LGA 1700 socket.

For those who want to take their gaming experience to the next level, this CPU is going to deliver your PC a serious shot in the arm. It is available at Newegg for $500, but the better $490 deal is at Amazon.
