A lot of tech sites (including ours, admittedly) like to occasionally throw around Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals such as "get this laptop for just $1,299!" or "get this notebook for only $2,418!" and, for a lot of consumers out there, those prices just aren't realistic. They're not happening, even if said tags represent a gigantic 50% off in savings potential or some such extraordinary value. Thankfully, Lenovo knows that many people who live in the non-tech world have realities and budgets to account for, so it has an inexpensive proposition: You can score its 15-inch IdeaPad 3 for $399 (32% off its usual $589 price tag).
It's on sale as part of Lenovo's Cyber Weekend sale, which essentially ushers in a whole new commercial holiday between the already overbearing Black Friday and Cyber Monday period. As to why you may want the IdeaPad 3, here's what it's packing: Windows 11, a 10th Gen Intel Core i3-10110U Processor (2.10GHz), 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, 1920x1080 FHD 15.6-inch display, and 720p camera. Nothing amazing, but perfectly functional for average work and computing needs if you're after a laptop with an MSRP a penny under $400.
Just make sure the coupon "IDEAKICKOFFDB1" is applied at checkout. And note that the laptop is eligible for free shipping, which is neat.
Lenovo IdeaPad 3 | $190 off
Lenovo has a laptop for the average user who doesn't care about frills or having the best hardware on the market. It'll set you back $399 and comes packed with the latest iteration of Windows.
This is far from the only clamshell PC seeing its price slashed during "Cyber Weekend." Check out the best Cyber Monday laptop deals to see what else is on offer. Those savings opportunities aren't likely to get much cheaper than Lenovo's IdeaPad 3, but for a tiny bit more cash, you could wind up with a noticeably stronger machine that doesn't fall into diminishing returns territory.
