By now, everyone knows that the next entry in the long-running video game franchise Assassin’s Creed is going to be Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Hopefully, we’ll get Infinity somewhere down the line but in the meantime, we’ve got our hands full with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The game was previously called Assassin’s Creed Rift but that’s long been changed.

Even though it’s the thirteenth entry in the series, the guys at Ubisoft are keeping their focus on core gameplay mechanics, improving them all over. You can keep an eye out for more superior and polished movement and parkour mechanics. On that note, you can say goodbye to gameplay features including leveling system, dialogue choices, and gender selection. It’s definitely going to be different from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Youtuber j0nathon seems to have proven to be a godsend bringing new details about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed. He’s been pretty reliable when it comes to sharing leaks concerning Assassin’s Creed on the internet. So you can trust his words. First up, Baghdad is the only city in the game. We know it’s a bummer but it comes with multiple zones – four to be specific, with their own bosses – along with oases and deserts.

We’re going to the time period from 860 to 870. Next up, it seems players fond of throwing knives will get a chance to do it all over again. Another gameplay mechanic making a comeback is hiding places on the roofs. We’re also getting a lot more NPCs this time around on the street.
j0nathon also talked about how there are lots of interactions for parkour. For example, poles to reach distant buildings and the lanterns that get to turn around the corner of a wall. And the very last detail that the YouTuber revealed is that some assassinations will be in slow-motion. These mechanics bring a lot to the table and have a lot of fans itching to play the game already.
You may not want to believe some of it but Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has confirmed some of the news and leaks concerning the game. First up, he’s confirmed that the up-and-coming entry into the franchise will be keeping the core game mechanics as the main focus.
We’ve got a supposed release date for Spring 2023. Nothing official from Ubisoft. However, when the game is released, it’s going to be hitting Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox Game Pass, PS5, PS4, and Windows.
There’s a lot riding on the developers behind the game since Ubisoft is also working on a remake of the original Assassin’s Creed at the same time and it’s going to include the legend himself, Altair.The remake plans on a lot of efforts from Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Infinity due to the shared assets among the remake and both titles.
