The Lovelace hype train is real! A picture showing an early engineering design for what seems to be an RTX 4090 Ti FE has just surfaced.
RTX 4090 Ti
Greymon on Twitter shared a picture which was termed as ‘Full Fat AD102’. NVIDIA’s beast aka the RTX 4090 Ti is set to make use of this chip (AD102). The GPU in its current state is hardly even a reference model due to the bland and simplistic design. Although, if this is the FE (Founders Edition), then we know for sure that the 4090 Ti ships with a tiple fan design.
Of course, when the TDP surpasses the 500W+ territory, you would expect these GPUs to feature some exotic cooling solutions.
The Design
The GPU has a rectangular design with sharp edges coated by a matte black finish. The 3 fans are aligned at equivalent distances from one another having an identical size. The bracket is quite small as compared to the GPU itself. Ampere’s 3090 shipped with just 2 fans (1 on the front, 1 on the back). The 4090 Ti has 3 fans due to the excess heat dissipation requirements.
Specifications
While this picture merely showcases what to expect from the 4090 Ti physically, we still have some ‘leaked’ configurations. NVIDIA’s Lovelace lineup is built on TSMC’s 4nm process node. Do note that there is a small discrepancy in the configurations for NVIDIA’s AD102 lineup.

The RTX Titan
Harukaze mentioned that this ‘leaked GPU’ is the ‘Full-Fat AD102‘, however, that turns out to be the RTX 4000 Titan (Possibly) as the 4090 Ti is a cut down variant of the same chip (AD102). Back in 2018, when the Titan RTX was launched, it had a design similar to the RTX 2080 Ti. Therefore, it is hard to tell whether this GPU is the 4090 Ti or the RTX 4000 Titan.
All in all, there may quite possibly be a mix up in the configurations for these GPU. It is still possible that NVIDIA never even planned to produce the ‘RTX 4000 Titan’. Maybe, it was all just a speculation. Our questions will be answered on the 20th of September where Jensen Huang will conduct a GTC Keynote showcasing Lovelace.
