Just now, Videocardz got its hand on some exclusive information regarding the RTX 4070. Allegedly, through an embargo notice, it has been confirmed or at least rumored that the 4070 will launch in April. All other information has been blurred out. However, it confirms that NVIDIA may just announce the RTX 4070 at its upcoming GTC Keynote in March.
RTX 4070 Embargo Details
The Embargo notice, as mentioned has been blurred so as to not leak out the source or too many details. However, the TBD (To Be Decided) date as of now is sometime in April. In addition, the RTX 4070 is now confirmed to feature the PG141-SKU343 board.
This particular board model has been mentioned by Kopite in the past. The leaker in an update claimed that the power consumption can still be lowered thanks to the newer board. If all the other specifications remain intact, then the RTX 4070 will feature the AD104-250-A1 GPU with 5888 Cuda Cores. This is a reduction of almost 23% when compared to the RTX 4070 Ti.
The SKU number is wrong. It is PG141-SKU343/344/345. It is possible to continue to reduce power consumption. https://t.co/nq8RA4hvZ6

Furthermore, it will have 12GB of GDDR6X memory running at 21Gbps. Over a 192-bit memory bus, this amounts to 504GB/s of effective bandwidth. The L2 Cache count has also been increased by 9x over its predecessor standing at 36MB. The power consumption as per the latest leaks will be lower than 250W. The RTX 4070, as per the latest leaks, will be announced between March 20-23, and will retail sometime in April.
