Gran Turismo 7 Pre-Orders Are Live, Here’s Everything You Need To Do About Them Including the Prices and Different Editions

As the release date inches closer and closer, fans are getting more excited for Gran Turismo 7. Following up on last week’s explosive trailer at the PlayStation showcase, Sony is back with more details regarding Gran Turismo 7’s pre-orders. The blog post uploaded today explains what you’ll get in each of the different editions of the game, should you choose to pre-order.

First things first, the pre-orders for Gran Turismo 7 are already live as we speak. But before you rush off to grab yourself a copy, you need to first understand which edition is right for you—there are only two editions. The base game (Standard Edition) costs $69.99 for the PS5 version and $59.99 for the PS4 version. Pre-ordering either nets you the same digital goodies:

  • 100,000 in-game Credit (CR)
  • Toyota Castrol TOM’S Supra
  • Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept (Stealth)
  • Porsche 917K Living Legend

The 25th Anniversary Edition

Now, for all you ballers out there, Gran Turismo will have a special 25th Anniversary Edition. The very first Gran Turismo game launched for PlayStation 1 back in 1997 which means next year will mark the 25th anniversary of the series. Therefore, Sony is releasing the 25th Anniversary Edition in honor of this prestigious occasion.

The 25th Anniversary Edition will cost $89.99 and include both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game (along with the pre-order bonuses). Moreover, there will be two releases of this edition: a physical version available via participating retailers, and the Digital Deluxe version available via the PlayStation Store.

The 25th Anniversary Edition physical release comes with an exclusive steelbook case that includes the disc for the PlayStation 5 version of the game and a code for the PS4 version that you can redeem on the PS Store. On the other hand, the Digital Deluxe release will be available through the PlayStation Store and also include both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game.

Once again, both the physical and digital releases of the 25th Anniversary Edition will come with the same pre-order bonus items. The only difference is that the physical release will include only 1,100,000 in-game CR instead of the 1,600,000 in-game CR included in the Digital Deluxe release. If you go ahead with the 25th Anniversary Edition, here’s everything you’ll get:

  • In-Game Credits – 1,600,000 CR
  • Toyota GR Yaris with country specific Livery
  • 30 Manufacturer / Partner Avatars
  • The Music of Gran Turismo Official Soundtrack
  • Toyota Castrol TOM’S Supra
  • Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept (Stealth)
  • Porsche 917K Living Legend

Pre-orders for the Digital Deluxe release will run through and up till the game’s March 4th, 2022 release. You can pre-order it on the PlayStation Store right now. The physical release that comes with the steelbook, however, is a limited-time novelty that will be available as long as the supplies for it last. So, check in with your local retailers to secure a copy as soon as possible.

As for the upgrade situation, it’s only available for the Standard Edition, aka the base version of the game. For those who buy the Standard Edition of the game on/for PS4, but then decide to upgrade to the PS5 version, the upgrade will cost $10. Regardless of having the game on disc or digital, you’ll be upgraded to the digital version of the game on PS5.

Sony didn’t give us any word on a potential collector’s edition for this game. Usually, big AAA releases often come with a collector’s edition that includes a special collector’s item, such as a action figure or, in this case, a car replica. Maybe we’ll hear about it closer to the release of the game.
