Intel Promotional Event Reveals Approximate Pricing of Upcoming Arc Alchemist GPUs

Intel is going to compete in the discrete GPU market starting next year with its upcoming Xe lineup. While we know a lot about performance from earlier leaks, pricing information is still shoddy at best. A recent promotional event, however, sheds some light on where the prices of these cards might head.

Intel is conducting a promotional event called Scavenger Hunt for its upcoming Xe GPUs. In this event select, Twitter handles will drop ten clues over some time. Participants get points for correct answers and stand to win an Intel® Arc™ Graphic Card and other merchandise.

The terms and conditions page for this event gives away approximate pricing information for the upcoming Xe cards.

One Hundred (100) Grand Prizes Winners will each receive one (1) Premium Intel® Arc™ graphics card, with Intel® Arc™ branded merchandise, and 6 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC, having a total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $900USD. The 100 Grand Prize Winners are those who obtain point positions 1-100 at the completion of the Clue Period.

From the information above we can subtract the price of GamePass for 6 months of Windows (60$ US) and Intel Merchandise (approximately $100 US). This gives us a value of 740$ US which is a realistic figure for Intel Xe Premium GPU models.

Two Hundred (200) 1st Place Prizes winners will each receive one (1) Performance Intel® Arc™ graphics card, with Intel® Arc™ branded merchandise, and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC, having a total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $700USD. The 200 1st Place Winners are those who obtain point positions 101-300 at the completion of the Clue Period.

After subtracting the price of 3 months of GamePass and Intel merchandise, we are left with a figure of 570$ US for Xe performance models

While these figures can’t be relied upon for exact release pricing, this gives us a ballpark. There have been leaks like this before with the next-gen consoles being the face of many promotional events. While none of them were accurate, most of the figures were very close. Hopefully, we will get to know more about this at Intel’s upcoming innovation day event.
