The best PCs for playing Forza Horizon 5 (FH5) allow you to fully experience the visual showcase that developer Playground Games has created. Not everyone has the time or know-how to build their own PC, but luckily there are plenty of pre-builts available across a wide range of budgets. And since the best graphics cards are near impossible to find for a reasonable price, many are turning to pre-built machines anyway to source hardware. Take a look at some of the best gaming desktop PCs for Forza Horizon 5, as well as system requirements for a few levels of fidelity.
Ideal specs
HP Omen 30L
Editor's choice
HP offers plenty of configuration options for its Omen 30L, allowing you to get exactly what you need. For something that hits the ideal specs for FH5, you're looking at spending about $2,280. This includes a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10700K CPU, 16GB of RAM, 256GB M.2 PCIe SSD, and a NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU.
Crazy value
ABS Master ALI571
Staff pick
Newegg's ABS brand always offers excellent value and a solid build quality. Inside, this model has a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10400F CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, and an NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU with 12GB of VRAM. That places it somewhere between the recommended and ideal specs for FH5, all for a modest price.
AMD performance
Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14
Any of the new Aurora Ryzen Edition R14 models will be able to handle FH5, coming in somewhere between the recommended and ideal specs. As the name suggests, this PC comes with the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs and the latest GPUs from both NVIDIA and AMD. There are plenty of configurations available to help you get what you want.
Deep customization
Maingear Vybe
Looking for a pre-built PC that feels like you had a role in its creation? The Maingear Vybe offers deep customization options right down to the paint on the case. With tons of hardware options, including the latest performance pieces, you should be able to get the PC you want for the price you're looking to spend.
Total overkill
CLX Ra
We got to test out the building and shipping process with the CLX Ra, and we were impressed with the whole thing. Much like some other high-end PC builders, CLX lets you choose everything for your PC, which makes it feel a lot more like a custom build than a pre-built. These PCs aren't cheap, but if you have the dough you should find something that can crush FH5.
Forza Horizon 5 recommended specs and further suggestions
Forza Horizon 5 has three different recommended spec levels that you can work with. The minimum specs include fairly dated CPUs and GPUs, with 8GB of system RAM required. This will get the game off the ground, albeit with some seriously hampered visual fidelity. Recommended specs include more modern Intel and AMD CPUs, as well as GPUs that are a couple of generations old at this point. 16GB of system RAM is recommended, as are GPUs with at least 8GB of VRAM. The ideal spec has modern CPUs, GPUs with 16GB of VRAM, and 16GB of system RAM.
Bottom line? You should be able to play Forza Horizon 5 on just about anything, but as usual, better hardware will allow you to crank up in-game settings for a better experience.
In that case, any of the above PCs should be a great fit depending on your budget and preference. If you just want to get something quick without having to make too many decisions, the HP Omen 30L should do the trick. There are still many hardware options available, giving you flexibility to work within your budget. If you are looking for something that won't break the bank, the ABS Gaming Master ALI571 has what you need to surpass the recommended FH5 specs. All for only about $1,400.
