IPhone 14 Pro and IPhone 14 Pro Max to Include Faster Memory Type As Suppliers Are Set to Increase Production

According to reports, Apple is reportedly getting ready to introduce the higher-end variants of the iPhone 14  in September. The memory vendors for the IT giant are working hard to increase sales of speedier RAM modules to fasten up the development process.

The following DigiTimes article, which is paywalled and was discovered by MacRumors, discusses Apple’s memory vendors, which include Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. The ‘Pro’ variants launching later this year will have 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which is an enhancement above the current-generation iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max both of which have 6GB of LPDDR4X memory, according to additional details revealed in that story.

Unfortunately, while the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have quicker RAM than the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, the latter two models will launch with inferior LPDDR4X RAM. Furthermore, Apple’s next-generation A16 Bionic chipset will only be included in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models; the less priced models will only receive the A15 Bionic.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were rumored to include higher specifications but it appears that if Apple made this choice, it would have to raise the price because of the high cost of the components. Since the firm would be selling these devices in an economy where consumers are already experiencing financial difficulties as a result of a recession, raising the price might be harmful to the company’s development.
