Gamescom is an exposition for video games conducted annually at Germany. Sr. Developer Relations Manager for AMD, Milosz Bialas recently announced on Twitter that AMD will officially be taking part in this event.
Hey folks! @AMD is attending @gamescom, and so am I!
Finally, to be able to visit this enormous event in person after a 2-year break feels refreshing. I can't wait to see you all there! pic.twitter.com/wl4p1MFfkO

This event is said to take place between the 24th and the 28th of August. As per our previous leaks, AMD has the following announcement plan for its Zen4 lineup.
- Announcement : 29th September, 8PM ET
- Press embargo : 13th September, 9AM ET
- Official Launch : 15th September, 9AM ET
If we connect the dots, then AMD may annouce or at the least give us some teasers for Zen4 at the upcoming Gamescom. Being strictly related to gaming, we could only see a few in-game performance benchmarks. All in all, even if AMD chooses not to elect Gamescom as their venue, the wait will only be 1 day long.
The official Zen4 lineup was accidentally mentioned in a listing over at AMD.
- Ryzen 9 7950X
- Ryzen 9 7900X
- Ryzen 7 7700X
- Ryzen 5 7600X
Although, a leak came up a few days past stating the alleged pricing for Ryzen 7000 SKUs. It mentioned the existence of an R7 7800X, showing that it may also be included in the initial launch.
Ryzen 7 7700X MSRP = Ryzen 7 5700X MSRP ($299) ($249.00 As of now)
Ryzen 7 7800X MSRP > Ryzen 7 5800X MSRP ($449) ($299.99 As of now)
Ryzen 9 7xy0X MSRP > Ryzen 9 5xy0X MSRP
The pricing seems decent and competitive considering Raptor Lake is also just around the corner. Last time, Alder Lake took the lower-segment of the market with its i3 and i5 offerings. AMD had no answer to that, being shackled by Zen3. Will AMD step up and compete with its R3 and R5 offerings? Tell us in the comments.
