iPhone 14 Series to Expect a Price Hike

The normal iPhone 14 devices were believed to cost the same as the current-generation handsets, which began at $799, in the past. Unfortunately, that is not the case since one expert anticipates price increases for the more expensive models, and there are various reasons why this may happen.

Even though Ming-Chi Kuo withheld specific pricing information for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in his most recent tweet, the analyst predicts that the average selling price of the iPhone 14 series would rise by 15%. He claims that the price increase and increased shipping percentage for the “Pro” versions will be the cause of these adjustments.

Apple’s iPhone 14 family is expected to ship up to 100 million devices in 2022 alone, therefore the expense of acquiring such a large quantity would necessitate a price hike because the business must pay its supply chain more to build more units. The tech giant is also expected to include updated hardware in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, including the A16 Bionic, which is allegedly manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process.

Cutting-edge technology requires more money to produce, and it appears that Apple plans to boost prices for consumers. Another modification that might occur is the replacement of the LPDDR4X processors used in the less costly iPhone 14 members with faster and more energy-efficient LPDDR5 RAM.

Another reason for a potential price increase is that LPDDR5 RAM is more expensive to develop than LPDDR4X. Remember that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be the only models to come with a 48MP primary sensor, which will cost more. The ongoing changes in the global economy and rising component prices may have compelled Apple and its supply chain to increase pricing.
