EA Motive’s New Iron Man Game is Reportedly in Playtesting Phase

After a month of rumors and anticipation, the single-player AAA Iron Man game by EA was confirmed last month. As @JeffGrubb mentioned in one of his tweets, the EA Motive will shift its focus on the Iron Man game after they are done with the Dead Space Remake, and it seems to be coming together. As Dead Space Remake is all set to release on January 27th of next year, and new gameplay footage of the remake confirmed that it is only a few polishes away before its official release.

Therefore it was speculated that EA Motive will entirely focus on the new Iron Man game, and we will learn more about the development process or an exclusive first look soon. Unfortunately, the game’s first look has yet to be revealed, but we have seen a ray of light recently. As Insider Gaming reported that the Iron Man game is now in a soft play-test/feedback phase that will involve devs in 1-on-1 sessions at EA’s Player Experience Labs.

Get an inside look at a game/product and talk through your experience directly with an EA Researcher. They will ask you questions about your experiences, preferences, and other areas of interest. These conversations typically last between 30 and 120 minutes, and may happen online or in person at one of our Player Experience Labs.

This will help the studio understand the game’s progress so far and how they can improve it and mold it like they have imagined it, whether it is about the game mechanics, plot or player experience. According to some sources, as corroborated by Insider Gaming, the play-testing phase will be three days long, starting on October 31st and ending on November 2nd.

EA Motive has ambitious goals with this game, and their dedication and love for the Marvel franchise reflect how they want this game to turn out.

What’s especially exciting is that with this project, we have the opportunity to create a new and unique story. We are very much in the early stages and expect a big game like this to take years to create. Our goal in announcing the game early is to invite developers who are just as passionate about Marvel as we are to consider joining Motive. It’s also because we will want to engage with the community of players in due course. Stay tuned.

We hope that we will learn more about the game soon, as according to this news, the game has reached a certain development phase to be playable at least. We will keep you posted about any further information about the game. Until then, let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
