Google Classroom Stuck at Loading? – Here’s How to Fix It

It is common for users to experience Google Classroom not loading issue. It mainly occurs when your browser’s cache files are corrupted. Cache files are created by the browser to improve the user experience by storing frequently visited websites, allowing them to load faster without requesting data from the server.

1. Clear browser cache

Because this issue originates mainly from corrupted browser cache, our first method should be to clear browser’s cache files.

1. Click on three dots and go to Settings.

2. Select Privacy and security from the left pane.
3. Click Clear browsing data under Privacy and security.

4. Change the time range to All time.
5. Tick Cookies and other site data.
6. Then, click Clear data to remove the data.

7. Once done, open the Google classroom website and check if Google classroom is responding.

2. Turn off Use secure DNS

DNS or Domain Name System translates web addresses to IP addresses as the browsers for the browser to read. While secure DNS helps ensure a secure connection between the user and the website, it can also prevent Google Classroom from loading.

It’s important to note that Google Classroom is a safe website, which does not steal data, so disabling Secure DNS temporarily should not cause any harm.

We recommend disabling the use of secure DNS on your browser temporarily to check if it resolves the issue. To do this:

1. Click on the three dots from the top right corner and select Settings.

2. Select Privacy and Security from the left pane and then navigate to Security settings.

3. Scroll down to Advanced and turn off the Use Secure DNS.

4. Once done, now try to access Google Classroom.

3. Make sure that the Camera and Mic are correctly connected

If you use Google meet for the online class inside the Google Classroom, then make sure the microphone and the camera are properly connected to the computer. If one of them has a fault preventing Google meet from accessing the devices, you will encounter this issue.
