Samsung’s Flagship “S” Series Pricing Revealed, Expected Price Change for the S23 Ultra

With less than a month till Samsung’s Unpacked event, there is a lot going on around the release of the company’s upcoming flagships. There are numerous rumors floating about, making it difficult to figure out what is true and what is not. However, as the event approaches, there have been a number of leaks, and we now have information on the pricing for the upcoming phones.

A Twitter user by the handle @RGcloudS has posted the information on his profile. According to the leaker, neither the regular Galaxy S23 nor the Galaxy S23 Plus will see any price changes. That puts the price of the Galaxy S23 with 12 GB of storage at $799 and the 256 GB version at $849. Similar to its predecessor, the S23 Plus will be priced at $999 for the 8GB/128GB model and $1,049 for the 8GB/256GB model.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the costliest of the three, starting at $1,249 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage model. The base model, with 512 GB of storage space and 12 GB of RAM, will cost $1,349, while the top-end model, with 1 TB of storage space and 12 GB of RAM, will cost $1,499. It has been reported by RGCloudS that the 1 TB storage model and any colors that are exclusive to the Samsung store could be delayed by up to six weeks.

The leaker adds that these prices are only estimates and are subject to change before the February 1st Galaxy Unpacked event. Even while the S23 and S23 Plus are expected to have a new processor, larger batteries, a new back design, and a new selfie camera, most customers would not regard these changes as something revolutionary, therefore it would be tough to justify a price rise.

Furthermore, there were rumors that there wouldn’t be an S24 Plus next year because the S22 Plus apparently didn’t sell very well. Hence, Samsung is making the right call by continuing last year’s pricing for the S23 Plus, as raising prices would be a massive risk.

Tell us what you think of the new price strategy from Samsung and whether or not you believe the phones are worth it compared to the speculations we’ve heard. Keep in mind that the vast majority of rumors apply only to the hardware, and that we may not know what kind of software surprises Samsung has in store for us. After all, updates to software tend to be the most talked about and well praised upgrades.
