Remedy Entertainment announced that Control Resonant will launch on September 24, 2026, alongside a new trailer revealed at the PlayStation State of Play.
The standard edition will cost $59.99, which is $10 less than the typical $69.99 price for many AAA releases currently. A digital deluxe edition will also be available for $69.99.
Control Resonant is the sequel to Remedy's 2019 action game Control. In this installment, players assume the role of Dylan Faden, the brother of the original protagonist Jesse Faden, as they work to stop a supernatural threat that has taken over Manhattan.

- The Standard Edition priced at $59.99,
- The Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99 which offers extra in-game items,
- The PlayStation Digital Deluxe Edition that grants 48 hours of early access, exclusive to PS5.

What Control Resonant Is
Control Resonant is described by Remedy's Chief Commercial Officer Johannes Paloheimo as the studio's "most expansive game ever." Remedy is self-publishing the title, with marketing planned around Summer Game Fest and events over the summer leading to the September 24 release.
A hands-off preview in March highlighted the game's fast-paced combat. The game shares a universe with Alan Wake 2 and may continue some of those story elements, though the extent of the connection has not been detailed.
Remedy is working on remakes of the first two Max Payne games in collaboration with Rockstar Games, with additional details to be announced later. The reveal for Control Resonant took place during the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play, which also featured the announcement of God of War Laufey and other titles.
Control Resonant is set to launch on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox, and PC. Remedy has not yet provided full details on pre-order options or regional pricing.
