2026 Game Release Schedule: GTA 6, Halo Campaign Evolved, and Forza Horizon 6 Headline the Year

GameSpot has released its updated list of confirmed game release dates for 2026 across various platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Switch 2, Switch, and mobile.

The list, compiled by writer Gabe Gurwin, includes titles with fixed launch dates as well as those with a broader release window for the year. It is expected to change as publishers announce or delay their plans.

The most prominent entry is Grand Theft Auto 6, scheduled for release on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, though there is a possibility of a delay, according to GameSpot.

This schedule can be useful for gamers planning hardware upgrades, subscription renewals, or managing their game backlog around specific franchises. Below are some of the notable releases per month, based on the dates provided by GameSpot.

Early 2026: Trails, Nioh 3, and Resident Evil Requiem

January kicked off with The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon, releasing on January 15 across PS5, PS4, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. Following that, Code Vein 2 is coming out on January 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

February starts with a busy schedule. Nioh 3 is launching as a PS5 exclusive on February 6. On February 5, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined arrives on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. High on Life 2 and Reanimal are both set for release on February 13.

The month concludes with Resident Evil Requiem, which will be available on February 27 across PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Switch 2, and PC.

March: Crimson Desert, Death Stranding 2 on PC, and Monster Hunter Stories 3

March is one of the busiest months on the gaming calendar. Crimson Desert is set to launch on March 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, marking its return after years of delays.

The same day, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will be released on PC. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is scheduled for March 13 across PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Switch 2.

The remake of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly is planned for March 12, and Bungie's extraction shooter Marathon is launching on March 5.

Nintendo's Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, along with the Meetup in Ballabel Park expansion, is set to arrive on March 26. WWE 2K26 and MLB The Show 26 will be released on March 13 and March 17 respectively.

April: Pragmata, Diablo IV Expansion, and Saros

Pragmata, Capcom's highly anticipated sci-fi game that experienced delays, is scheduled to launch on April 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, the second major expansion for the game, will be released on April 28 across all supported platforms. Housemarque's Saros is set to be released on April 30 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

May: Forza Horizon 6, 007 First Light, and Mina the Hollower

Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to launch on May 19 for Xbox Series X and S as well as PC. IO Interactive's James Bond game, 007 First Light, will be released on May 27 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Switch 2, and PC. Yacht Club Games' Mina the Hollower is set for release on May 29 on all major platforms.

Subnautica 2 enters early access on May 14 for Xbox Series X and S and PC. Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core will follow into early access on PC starting May 20.

June through August: Palworld Console Launch, Halo Campaign Evolved, and Madden 27

Palworld is set to arrive on July 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. The remake of the original Halo campaign, titled Halo: Campaign Evolved, is scheduled for release on July 28 across PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

This will be the first mainline Halo game launched on PlayStation. Madden NFL 27 is planned for release on August 13 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Switch 2, and PC.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a fighter from Arc System Works featuring Marvel licenses, will launch on August 6 for PS5 and PC. Star Wars: Zero Company is also expected to arrive on August 27.

Fall Slate: Wolverine, Silent Hill Townfall, and Gears of War E-Day

Marvel's Wolverine launches September 15 as a PS5 exclusive. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave releases September 17 on Switch 2. Silent Hill: Townfall and Control Resonant both ship September 24 on PS5 and PC, with Townfall a PS5 and PC release only.

October brings Gears of War: E-Day on October 6 for Xbox Series X and S and PC, followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23. Phantom Blade Zero closes the month on October 29 for PS5 and PC.

November and December: GTA 6 and Dragon Quest Monsters

Grand Theft Auto 6 releases November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC release date. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World follows December 3 on PS5, Switch 2, and Switch.

Dated but Subject to Change

Titles listed only with a 2026 window, including The Duskbloods on Switch 2, The Wolf Among Us Remastered, Mortal Shell 2, Squadron 42, and Turok Origins, do not yet have fixed dates.

Release dates for games in early development or those tied to franchises with a history of delays, including GTA 6, may shift before launch.

The list will be updated as publishers confirm windows or move titles into specific months.
