Step up your game with Dell's 27-inch 1440p 165Hz monitor on sale for $360

Looking at the best computer monitors and seriously considering an upgrade? You should, but don't let the prices drive you away! If you're working from a budget, you can still get some serious upgrades for gaming without spending thousands. Check out the Dell 2721DGF 27-inch 1440p monitor that's down to just $359.99 right now at Best Buy. We're starting to see more deals on these monitors after a long drought. We shared one a few weeks ago when it dropped to $380 briefly, and that was a great price at the time that's still available through Dell's website. Now Best Buy has it beat by $20 when it was selling for as much as $510. Don't expect this deal to last long, honestly.

Dell S2721DGF 27-inch monitor | $140 off

This is a top notch gaming monitor. It has a native 1440p resolution with a refresh rate up to 165 Hz and a 1ms response time. Has an IPS panel with great viewing angles and colors. Includes two HDMI, one DisplayPort, and a USB 3.0 hub.

$360 at Best Buy

The Dell S2721DGF is a followup to an extremely popular monitor that we've shared deals on several times, the S2719DGF. That older monitor has been struggling to stay in stock this year despite its popularity and the price has jumped as a result. We have seen it drop below $300 in the past, but these days $450 is a more expected price.

What you get with Dell's 27-inch screen is a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440, a 1ms response time, and a refresh rate that can reach as high as 165Hz with the right connection. Those are fantastic gaming stats. The 1ms response time is particularly impressive if you consider this monitor is using an IPS panel. Previous generations used a TN panel, which was cheaper but had less impressive viewing angles and colors. Now you get the same super fast response time with much better specifications overall.

The monitor also has AMD's FreeSync tech natively. This works with your AMD graphics card to help reduce screen tearing in high-octane games or movies. It's also Nvidia G-Sync compatible, which means you can get the same functionality from a Nvidia graphics card to reduce motion blur. Of course, for G-Sync compatibility you'll need to be connected via the DisplayPort, which is also essential for reaching a 165Hz refresh rate.

Use the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard combined with 400 nits of brightness for the best HDR content support and watch content with even better image quality.

In addition to one DisplayPort, the monitor also has two HDMI ports capable of up to 144Hz refresh rates. There's also a USB hub that includes two USB-A 3.0 ports for connecting other peripherals.
