The highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake, Winters’ Expansion for Resident Evil Village, and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition are expected to be adequately unveiled in the upcoming Resident Evil showcase in October (the exact date of the event is still unknown).

It has already been confirmed that the Shadows of Rose DLC for Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will be released on 28th October 2022, along with a Nintendo Switch Port of the game.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition
The Gold Edition will offer the following exclusivities:
- Third-person mode: Experience the story of Resident Evil Village in third-person mode, marking the first time players will get to see Ethan Winters in action.
- The Mercenaries Additional Orders: This new mode expands upon Mercenaries, offering new stages and the ability to play as Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Lady Dumitrescu.
- Shadows of Rose DLC: Taking place 16 years after the events of Village, the Shadows of Rose DLC story places you in the shoes of Rose, Ethan’s daughter. The plot will involve Rose traveling to different realms, searching for a cure for her curse.
The third-person perspective, along with the glimpses of Shadows of Rose DLC, can be seen in the shared teaser. The expansion will be included in the Gold Edition of the game. However, you should have the base Resident Evil Village to play the DLC if you are not planning to buy the Gold Edition separately.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Unfortunately, no shots of Resident Evil 4 Remake were seen in the shared teaser. However, it’s still expected to be revealed at the Resident Evil showcase this month.
Resident Evil 4 was originally released in 2005 and was a massive success due to its intriguing storyline and action-packed gameplay. The madness was absolute, with hordes of zombies chasing Leon and brutal gameplay, the true definition of Evil.
The game was loved by the community and was critically acclaimed as well. Capcom is known for their remakes of their classic Resident Evil titles. The previous titles in the remake lineup are Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3; Capcom had a consistent approach with both of these remakes. They kept the real essence of the game with a touch of modern-day graphics and tweaked gameplay.
The Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to be released in March 2023. It was expected that the remake would be next-gen only for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but at TGS 2022, Capcom announced that the remake would also be available on PS4, but there were no signs of it coming to Xbox One.
We hope more information about the remake will also be released soon, as the shared teaser was just a tiny drop of what Capcom has in store for the fans.
Upon receiving further information about Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Showcase, we will update you. Please let us know if you are excited about the upcoming Resident Evil content.
