LG's 27-inch 1440p monitor dropping to $277 has survived Cyber Monday

Head over to Amazon and grab the LG 27GN800-B 1440p gaming monitor down to its low Cyber Monday price of $276.99. This monitor has been selling for around $350 for most of the past year, and we even saw it jump as high as $400 on occassion. We've seen it go as low as $295 in the past, but even those deals didn't last too long. We first saw this price drop right before Black Friday, but it sold out before the weekend and sold out again on Monday. It's back and the price hasn't jumped yet, so jump on this deal while you can because it's obviously pretty popular. If it does sell out again, you can find the deal at a couple other retailers like B&H.

$276.99 at Amazon

If you're a gamer, the specifications on the monitor are ideal. It's a 27-inch screen with 2560x1440 resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time. It also uses an IPS panel, which is crazy given that IPS panels usually have much slower response times. Some reviews have called it one of the fastest response times ever measured for a panel like this.

IPS panels also ensure really great viewing angles, so the picture won't fade just cause your chair is crooked. And you also get good color accuracy with SRGB 99% color gamut and HDR 10 support. The display is virtually borderless on three sides, which gives it a sleek look that's also extremely immersive.

With those stats and the adaptive sync technology built in, you won't notice any motion blur while gaming. It defaults to AMD FreeSync tech, which works with your AMD graphics card to reduce screen tearing. However, it's also officially compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync, so you can use this with your NVIDIA graphics card as well. Just plug in via DisplayPort to get that G-Sync tech working. You'll want to use the DisplayPort anyway for gaming because it's the best way to ensure you're getting the 144Hz refresh rate.
