YouTube TV Rolls Out Customizable Multiview, Letting Users Choose Their Own Channel Combinations

YouTube TV is introducing a new multiview feature for smart TVs that allows users to choose which channels to display in the split-screen view instead of using a preset layout. The update is currently being gradually rolled out on the server side, with some users reporting access while others have not yet seen it.

The new feature was first noticed by a Reddit user and has been reported by Android Authority.

How YouTube TV’s New Multiview Interface Works

When you select the multiview option, a new interface appears with recommended channels alongside your current selections at the top of the screen. Channels are grouped into categories such as Recommended, Sports, News, TV Shows, and Movies.

To check if the feature is available, start a live stream and press the down button on the remote to open the multiview menu. If the feature has been rolled out to your account, you should see an "Add to multiview" option next to the channel selection categories.

The feature is gradually rolling out to YouTube TV subscribers on smart TVs via server-side updates. Not all accounts have received it yet, and YouTube TV has not provided a timeline for when the rollout will be complete for everyone.

This customizable multiview feature comes after the recent launch of new pricing bundles, including a $64.99 per month Sports plan and a $54.99 per month Entertainment plan, both introduced earlier this year.
