Gemini on Pixel 10 Can Now Complete Tasks Across Apps Automatically

Google is rolling out Gemini screen automation to the Pixel 10 series, including Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, in the United States, according to 9to5Google. The feature requires Android 16 QPR3 stable and was first spotted earlier this week.

Screen automation first appeared on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, which was showcased at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February 2026, where Samsung and Google demonstrated the new capability together. Samsung has since begun rolling it out to Galaxy S26 devices in the US and South Korea.

What Gemini Screen Automation Does on Pixel 10

Gemini screen automation lets the assistant handle multi-step tasks inside supported apps without the need for manual navigation. When launched, supported apps include Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, and Starbucks.

To activate the feature, you can hold the power button or say "Hey Google." Once it’s up and running, Gemini works within a virtual window on your screen, showing each step as it completes. You can take control at any point, and Gemini will ask for your final approval before performing any action.

During a task, the assistant can also ask follow-up questions, like choosing a drink size or store location when ordering from Starbucks.

How to Enable Gemini Screen Automation on Pixel 10

The feature is available in the Gemini app under Settings > Screen automation. It is rolling out server-side in the US and may not be visible to all Pixel 10 users immediately.

Gemini Screen Automation Limits by Subscription Tier

Daily request limits depend on your Gemini plan. Free users can typically make around five screen automation requests a day, while Gemini Ultra subscribers are allowed up to 120 requests daily. Google hasn't specified limits for other subscription tiers.

What Gemini Screen Automation Means for Phone Users

This feature represents a significant move toward bringing agent-style AI to smartphones, where virtual assistants do more than just answer questions - they actually carry out tasks.

With Gemini now capable of performing real actions across apps, Google is edging closer to a future where users spend less time tapping through multiple screens and more time simply asking their phones to get things done.

Currently, Google hasn't announced when this screen automation feature will be available in more regions or on devices beyond the Pixel 10 and Galaxy S26 series.
